I had no idea how much further this road went. It could be 1 mile or 30 miles. My tire was almost completely flat. My speed had dropped between 5 and 10 mph. I didn’t like the look of this. Checked my bag and realized I only had a half of a soda left. Wait! I have a patch kit….but with no air it’s useless. Next time I’m going to bring a pump. The first thought of getting stuck out here crossed my mind. No cell service at all. I went another 10 miles limping on a flat rear tire when out of nowhere this BMW 1200GT passed me. He waved and I yelled “Heeyy! Yoo!” He stopped and I explained my tire situation and he pulled out a bottle of …..air. He also had extra water. After a few attempts we patch the tire and got 32 pounds into it. This got me to the payment, 26 miles later and then to the closest town of Garlach, NV. My hero’s name was Jim.
